Talking Therapies – Circumcision and Mental Health

Introducing Talking Therapies: 15 Square’s Mental Health Service

Since 15 Square was first founded in 1996, we have regularly received letters and emails from men expressing how they have been psychologically affected by circumcision Talking Therapies are one of our responses to meet these needs. We have always been eager to help service users access psychological support; however, in the past, it has been challenging to find a suitably trained counsellor that recognises this issue.

Introducing Talking Therapies: 15 Square's Mental Health Service

This month, we are very pleased to announce the start our new project: Talking Therapies. This service is led by James Battrick, our certified counsellor. James is familiar with the issue of circumcision, and in addition to being fit to practice he is dedicated to the work that 15 Square are doing to improve services and recognition to men who have been affected by circumcision.

James’ placement with 15 Square has come at an opportune time, as we have received more contact than ever before from people looking for mental health support.
