Mental Heath Matters
Yesterday 15 Square hosted important mental health and suicide awareness meeting in our offices in Staffordshire.
The seminar was delivered by North Staffs Mind.
This past year we have been trying to make more links with professional services so that we can improve the support networks available to men who come to us with psychological damage.
Mind and Brighter Futures have both been working tirelessly in our area to improve mental health services and public awareness.
We would like to thank all the staff and trainers who have been open and receptive to our message too.
It is refreshing to see professionals take such an open-minded approach.
This brings a great deal of hope for the future.
This session has also helped us at 15 Square understand how we can improve our support services too.
Noticing signs of suicidal intent is difficult unless we are aware of the clues that are sometimes left behind by people who are going through an emotional struggle.
We were glad to meet new friends along the way, and to all those who attended we would like to say thank you for coming!
Mental health support and Suicide prevention go hand in hand
This is a great way for 15 Square to improve our services, to connect with other organisations who can learn about us, and to encourage discussion about the psychological consequences associated with circumcision. Not enough people are aware of the issue; however we believe that many people are increasingly open minded to learning.
15 Square will be moving forward with these types of events and to increase the scope as we develop.
