Tom Rosenthal’s “Manhood” relaunched.
Tom Rosenthal’s Manhood tour has been relaunched for 2020. Based on the success of his show last year, Tom has more tour dates throughout Spring. For anyone who has an interest in our subject, this is excellent news.
Tom is an actor, comedian and human rights, advocate. He has used his high profile to expose the double standard in our culture surrounding circumcision. His experiences mirror so many others, but Tom has used his wit and charisma to become a force for positive change. Some of you may remember that 15Square wrote about his show back in August:

Tom may use comedy as a delivery vehicle, but the subject is clearly close to his heart. An hour of comedy is the perfect way to introduce people to the debate who may not have engaged with the idea before. For those who doubt whether comedy and circumcision mix, be reassured by Tom’s respect for the subject. To paraphrase a passing comment that Tom made at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe:
“If I had my way, this would be a 4 hour TED talk. I do look into this, and I would like to develop a Masters level of understanding surrounding this subject.”
But true to his profession and character, Tom can’t help but deliver this with energy, enthusiasm, conviction and humour. An artful balance between comedy and sincerity.
Yesterday, (14/01/20) Tom appeared on Radio 5 Live talking about circumcision. The 13:00 show with Nihal Arthanayake exposes the debate. Find it on the BBC here whilst it is still available. What was great to hear was the openness of the host to talk freely about this issue. This subject is finally getting the attention that it has long deserved.
