Keele University’s Breaking The Mould Awards 2020.

Cultivating Talent Award

“Award for the new or established business, enterprise or social enterprise that has provided the best student placement experience.
This should have helped to improve the skills and attributes gained from their degree, enabled them to apply subject knowledge and theory to real-world practice, explored career options and significantly improved their chances of getting a graduate job.”

A Massive Leap Forward For 15 Square

We are so excited to have been shortlisted for the Cultivating Talent Award in Keele University’s Breaking The Mould Awards 2020.
As you may know, we work closely with Keele University, and over the summer months took part in the internship programme that provided 15 Square with two interns who worked for us for 100 hours each at no cost to the charity.

The intern’s placements were supported by Santander and Keele University Internship program, this was such a huge success.
Keele University featured 15 Square as a shining example of the programme

We have now been shortlisted for this award based on the environment and development we provided for the interns during their time with 15 Square.

There are some huge projects in the pipeline for the coming year:

  • Counselling Project – Mental health support for men who have been affected by their own circumcision, to enable 15 Square to support men and their families when they need us most.
  • Education Project – We are creating educational resources to fill the gap in the curriculum – Our aim is to ensure that young people received accurate information about the form and function of the foreskin to enable the next generation to grow up knowing how to care for this vital piece of their body.

Being shortlisted for this award raises the profile of the charity immeasurably, making us more attractive to donorssupporters and grant-makers.

We all have our fingers crossed.

Breaking the Mould
Shines a spotlight on the growing innovation-led organisations, businesses, not-for-profits and charities that have benefitted from the suite of innovative support programmes that are available from Keele University.
