What is UK Charity Week?
#UKCharityWeek is a media campaign that is designed to give the people of the United Kingdom an opportunity to place awareness and fundraising for charities high on the national agenda, given our current position with Lockdown 2.0 and the ongoing Covid pandemic, charities such as ours have lost a lot of fundraising opportunities that we would normally have had.
UK Charity Week is always held within the first full week of December, which this year is 7th-13th of December.
We are excited to say that this year 15 Square has become an Offical Partner Charity!
Why not do something special to support 15 Square in our work to support men and their families who have been adversely affected by circumcision?
Our main mission:
To advance the education of the public in all matters relating to circumcision and other forms of surgical alteration of the genitals, including alternative treatments and offering information and advice.
Or to put it simply we are working towards a world where everyone will have Genital Autonomy.
With Covid lockdown causing us all to stay at home to protect those we love. We have got to use our Isolation Imagination.
What do you think to a sponsored Christmas Jumper day? the national #ChristmasJumperDay is on the 11th of December this year.
Or how about Setting your own challenge! Climb the equivalent of Snowdon using your staircase, complete a half marathon in the backyard or even keep your Movember Moustache if you still have it.
Whatever you do, if you hold a sponsored event in support of 15 Square please make sure that when you make any donation to us, if you are eligible you #TickTheBox on the Gift Aid section of our donation form, so that we can claim 25% on top at no cost to you, from the government.
If you are planning a fundraising activity where you may come into contact with people outside of your household please ensure you follow all of the current government guidelines on social distancing and the local restrictions in your area.
So What's Happening for UK Charity Week 2020?
While the total income of the voluntary sector is dominated by larger charities, small charities constitute 97% of all charities in the UK
Get involved with a whole week’s worth of activities, help us trend on social media, by following and retweeting or sharing ours and all the #UKCharityWeek posts wherever you see them.
Here is what you can expect from us over the 7th to the 13th of December for our UK Charity Week celebrations.
- Monday the 7th: Celebration of Charity –
We will be celebrating everything great about 15 Square and the success stories we have had over the last year and letting you know about the amazing people who go above and beyond to protect and support men and boys.
- Tuesday the 8th: Give 5 Day –
Give 5 things to a charity of your choice £5 donation, 5 hours of your time 5 posts about our work and what it means to you on social media.
- Wednesday the 9th: Charity BIG Bake –
We are not sure how this will work if we are still in lockdown, we might all have to stick the great British bake-off on and drink a cup of tea with a Mr Kipling – what is this year like!
- Thursday the 10th: Volunteers’ Day –
As the name suggests today will be all about volunteers – we will be telling you about our interns and upcoming student placement program in partnership with Keele University and celebrating all the wonderful volunteers who give their time to keep 15 Square running.
- Friday the 11th: UK Charity Week’s Christmas Jumper Day –
We encourage you to plan a zoom/or other video call party and hold a quiz, or other activity and raise funds for our charity. We will be wearing our silliest jumpers today, see if you can beat us!
- Saturday the 12th: Charity Today Awards Winners Showcase

- Sunday the 13th: Fundraising Day –
Covid 19 has hit us hard, we are hopeful that the government will come through for the charity sector and raise the gift aid rate, this year has been so very difficult for everyone, we want to look ahead to the brightness and hope of the new year and be ever hopeful that 2021 is a better year for us all.
